Experience
Graduate Research Assistant,
Shanechi Lab, University of Southern California. (August 2020-Present)
Software Engineer,
Daydream (September 2016-August 2019.), Wearables (August 2019-July 2020), Google.
- Developed software for virtual reality controllers.
- Implemented a machine learning model for real-time occlusion detection of 6DOF optical controllers.
- Experimented with distortion correction algorithms for 6DOF controllers, using Vicon measurements as ground-truth
- Worked on system-level integration for 6DOF controllers into the Daydream Android platform application, including designing and implementing an SDK for a controller driver.
- Developed python tools for collecting controller data, and for visualizing and quantifying overall controller performance.
- Implemented firmware for consumer electronics.
Research Assistant,
Gallant Lab, UC Berkeley. (January 2015-July 2016)
-
Developed Python code to extract the time-series of several acoustic,
timbral, and rhythmic features from sound files.
-
Created voxel-wise encoding models to explore the representation of low-
level musical features.
-
Used voxel-wise encoding models to resolve tonotopic maps in primary
auditory cortex.
Research Intern,
Smith Lab, University of Pittsburgh. (June 2014-August 2014)
-
Conducted a psychophysics experiment using eye-tracking to determine how
the latency period for visual information delivery, when delivered after a
subject has been instructed to make a visual decision, influences decision
accuracy.
